Midmar Open Day

Saturday 23 August 2014

We are having our annual Open Day on Saturday 23rd August from 2-5pm.

On behalf of the committee I would like to ask you to help us make this a rip roaring success; we aim to make the visit an enjoyable event to all our visitors and also we aim to enjoy ourselves too. As usual a BBQ and party for everyone will feature after the gates have closed so please remember to bring some BBQ food and something to drink.

A working afternoon will be held on 16th August between 1 and 4pm to help us prepare the site for visitors; it is all hands to the decks and the committee would appreciate it if as many of you to come along to help. If you cannot join us on Saturday then we ask you to make sure that your plot is safe; clear away unwanted and potentially dangerous clutter and cut the grass on communal paths around your plot. The edges can hidden by overgrown grass and weeds.

On the 22nd and 23rd August we will be around to receive any donated cakes, biscuits, scones, fairy cakes, muffins, veggies, potatoes, fruit(in punnets), jams, preserves, flowers, plants and gifts which can be used for the Tombola. Please leave items in the cabin on F2 and the toolshed on F1 if you cannot find anyone from the committee.

Lastly and most importantly we need your help. Please come along; can you help on the stalls selling produce at the gates, help in the Midmar cafe, meet and greet the visitors?

Please email me or any other committee member if you can; it is good to have contact details for all our helpers.
